Since 2011 we have been presenting the hand-crafted, small-lot wines of hundreds of artisan winemakers from all over California - to wine lovers like you - at our annual Festivals.
Now, for the first time, we are showcasing some of our winery partners all year long, by bringing the excitement of discovery found at our wine events, on the road and into their tasting rooms.
With the Garagiste Tasting Pass, you’ll get an in person tasting at 76 unique wineries up and down California for the price of two regular winery visits. The GTP opens up exclusive deals and access - no reservations! - for 12 months of tasting fun. Just $69 for the year - which is less than the average price of two tastings at a single winery. Savings kick in after two winery visits! Explore new regions or visit old favorites, the choice is up to you!
Continue to explore the wide world of micro-winemaking or dive in for the first time. A wine tasting experience that is more personal, with the same passion for creating exceptional, unique wines you can only find at Garagiste.
Your Garagiste Tasting Pass grants you access to the following:

How to use your Garagiste Tasting Pass:
You can either print out the tasting pass and bring it with you to be scanned at each winery location AND / OR keep the tasting pass on your phone. Given the remoteness of some of our winery partners, who may have limited cell service or WiFi, we suggest having a paper copy of your QR code handy just in case. The Point San Luis Lighthouse creates the most spectacular backdrop for live concerts in San Luis Obispo County. Going on our 5th year of sold-out concerts, this series attracts a cross section of locals and tourists who seek the very finest the area has to offer.
Live at the Lighthouse is powered by volunteers. Board members from Point San Luis Lighthouse Keepers and other volunteers work to make sure that these concerts provide the much needed revenue for the restoration and upkeep of the light station, a true Central Coast treasure. Your dollars go directly into the preservation of the incredible history of this site, and it’s majestic landscape.
Join us for a docent-led tour of the buildings and grounds of the historic Point San Luis Light Station.
Enjoy a scenic ride up the Lighthouse Road in a SLO SafeRide van to the Point San Luis Lighthouse where you will be met by a docent and led on a personalized tour of the buildings and grounds of this historic site established in 1890.
The Point San Luis Lighthouse Keepers welcomes you to join our docent-led interpretive tours to experience a rich history of the beautifully restored Lighthouse, the Hornhouse, and other structures. Our tours will give you a glimpse into the lives of Lighthouse Keepers and their families while helping keep our jewel of the Central Coast preserved and protected. Point San Luis is part of the Port San Luis Harbor District.
Our mission is to restore, preserve, maintain, and operate the Point San Luis Lighthouse Station, circa 1890, as a historical, educational, and recreational site, for the use and enjoyment of the public through tours, events, and educational programs. Point San Luis is part of the Harbor District’s vision of maintaining a sustainable harbor that preserves our marine heritage and character.
We are a 501(c)3 charitable organization and are supported by people like you. Proceeds from tours, weddings, memberships, events, donations, and special events all go into preserving the Lighthouse and it’s history.
As with most theaters, ticket sales alone cannot keep us afloat. We rely on other income to help fund our productions and ongoing expenses. No one in our organization gets paid, and we are a non-profit business, so all money goes toward purchasing Rights and Royalties, set construction and decoration, advertising, printing, costuming, etc. Your donation is tax-deductible, and can be earmarked for the General Fund or for any area that you specify. If you are interested in sponsoring a show, please contact us.
The Pecho Coast Trail
A spectacular hike out to the Point San Luis Lighthouse. Experience some of the most breathtaking views in SLO County. Accessible ONLY via guided hikes.
The Pecho Coast Trail is located on the south end of the PG&E property and accessed through Avila Beach. This is a 3.75-mile roundtrip hike to Point San Luis Lighthouse.
This scenic coastal trail is a joint partnership between PG&E, the California Coastal Commission and the Port San Luis Harbor District. The hike takes visitors up to the Port’s Historic Point San Luis Lighthouse. Visitors can enjoy a short docent-led tour of the lighthouse by paying a $10 admission fee.
Pecho Coast Trail has been open for guided hikes since 1993 and is known for its panoramic views of Avila Beach. Hikers are treated to stunning landscapes while learning interesting facts from docent naturalists. Topics include the local history of the Avila Beach area and information on the Northern Chumash tribe who once inhabited the area.
The trail is home to many native plants and animals and interesting geological formations. Wildflowers are prevalent along the trail during the spring months, and California gray whales can be seen spouting offshore.
The trail is open year-round, except on New Year’s Day, Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Attuning to Gratitude
YOUniversity Enrichment Class and Integrative Sound Journey
Monthly on the 4th Tuesday
Join us for an important discussion on the power of practicing gratitude followed by an integrative Sound Journey, held in a welcoming space of compassion and connection. Gratitude is a frequency that aligns us with many positive emotions such as joy, awe, and inner harmony.
Gratitude - a force for change
Gratitude is not just an emotion but a dynamic force that brings joy, love, and optimism, helping to protect us from destructive emotions like envy and resentment. It profoundly impacts our mental and emotional health, making it an invaluable tool for shifting our mindset toward well-being.
When Life Gets Tough
While it’s easy to feel grateful during good times, it’s especially important to practice gratitude during challenging times. Renowned gratitude researcher Robert Emmons explains:
"In the face of demoralization, gratitude has the power to energize. In the face of brokenness, gratitude has the power to heal. In the face of despair, gratitude has the power to bring hope."
When life feels extra challenging, gratitude can help us cope, offering a profound shift toward healing and resilience.
Why Practice Daily Gratitude?
Research shows that practicing gratitude regularly brings numerous physical, emotional, and social benefits:
- Emotional Well-Being: Increases happiness, reduces stress, and fosters resilience.
- Physical Health: Boosts immunity, improves sleep, lowers blood pressure, and increases energy.
- Social Connection: Strengthens relationships, encourages kindness, and deepens our sense of connection to others and the universe.
- And so much more!
Gratitude helps us focus on the positive, cultivating more joy, peace, and abundance in our daily lives.
A Harmonious Fusion of Artistry, Science, and Integrative Sound
Scientific research over recent decades has increasingly validated what ancient cultures and traditions have long understood: the transformative power of sound.
Gratitude has a vibrational frequency of 540 Hz, one of the highest frequencies we can achieve, similar to the frequency of love. Quantum physics shows that everything in the universe, including our thoughts and emotions, emits vibrations that interact with the energetic field around us.
In our immersive journey of sound instruments—including crystal singing bowls, Himalayan bowls, gongs, chimes, and other sacred instruments—are artistically blended to create a soothing, restorative, and therapeutic experience. Through the harmonious fusion of artistry, science, and sound energy, revitalizing energy emerges as you come into attunement with the vibration of gratitude naturally restoring balance, inner peace, and harmony to your body’s natural, healthy vibrational state—your true nature.
OPTIONAL: Daily Reflection Practice for 4 Weeks
After the Sound Journey, you will be invited to continue the practice with a month of daily gratitude reflection. Through journaling, mindful awareness, and intentional pauses, you will cultivate a deeper connection to the abundance within and around you.
When we reunite in four weeks, we will gather again for another Sound Journey to amplify and renew our gratitude practice, sharing insights from our reflections and expanding our capacity for joy, peace, and appreciation.

About our “YOUniversity” Enrichment Classes & Sound Journeys
Our Sound Journeys are an enriching experience with a thoughtfully chosen theme to explore before the Sound Journey. This holistic approach deepens your experience, making it more meaningful and impactful for personal growth and self-care.
The practices and principles introduced provide opportunities for self-discovery, reflection, and intention-setting.
Complementary practices may include:
Mindful awareness principles and practices
Breathwork
Vocal toning
Creative exploration through art, movement, rhythm, or voice
Reflective journaling for fostering integration and personal insight
Follow-up discussions allow space for sharing personal insights, asking questions, and connecting with others. These moments of reflection help us recognize our commonalities and remind us that we are not alone in our journey.
The best part? These takeaways can be seamlessly integrated into daily life, supporting you in navigating challenges with greater ease and transforming your life into harmony with your true nature.
The Sound Journey then follows, serving as a powerful integration of the lessons, practices, and discussions—helping you embody and deepen the experience on a much deeper level.

Songwriters at Play presents touring duo Scott Cook and Pamela Mae at Humdinger in San Luis Obispo on Wednesday March 26. Tickets are $20 general admission for the 7pm concert.
Back when most venues were shuttered, we hosted Scott & Pamela on our front porch in Shell Beach. Scott was also featured on our showcase at Shell Cafe in Pismo Beach in 2014.
In 2007, Albertan songwriter Scott Cook quit his job teaching kindergarten in Taiwan and moved into a minivan. He’s made his living as a troubadour ever since, touring almost incessantly across Canada, the US, Europe, Asia, Australia, New Zealand and elsewhere, averaging 120 shows and a dozen summer festivals a year, and releasing seven albums of plainspoken, keenly observant verse along the way. His 2020 collection Tangle of Souls came packaged in a cloth-bound, 240-page hardcover book of road stories and politico-philosophical musings. The album spent two weeks at #1 on Alberta's province-wide community radio network CKUA, and earned Scott his third Canadian Folk Music Award nomination, for English Songwriter of the Year. Its second single "Say Can You See" was the second most-played song of 2020 on Folk Alliance International's folk radio charts, and took top honors for the folk category in both the 2020 UK Songwriting Competition and the 2020 Great American Song Contest. Since early 2022 he's been touring steadily with his sweetheart Pamela Mae on upright bass, banjo and vocals, visiting 45 states, 8 Canadian provinces and a big portion of Australia. In 2025 they're releasing a new album called Troubadourly Yours with tours of North America, Europe and Australia to follow. Fresh from the open road, these are sturdy, straight-talking songs that see the good in you.

Our natural calm and mental clarity is being exponentially challenged by a seemingly-endless stream of disturbing media. Meditation offers an escape, a vacation from reactive thinking and feelings.
There are many forms of meditation. Please join us in experiencing an emerging form, musical meditation, resting our minds, going inward, and being refreshed for our journeys.

Drumming for Wellness
Facilitated rhythm experiences for oncology patients and survivors
Join us for a joyful and uplifting drum circle designed specifically for oncology patients, survivors, and their guests to explore rhythm and creative expression in a supportive group setting, facilitated by Dee DiGioia of Mindful Kindful YOUniversity.
Free event sponsored by Adventist Health- Sierra Vista in SLO
No Experience Needed!
Even if you think you have no rhythm, this experience is for you! No previous drumming experience is necessary—just an open heart and a willingness to explore. Participants are encouraged to express themselves freely without worrying about “getting it right.” It’s about the experience, not technical skill.
Why Drumming?
Drumming is a fun and engaging way to relieve stress, boost mood, and foster connection with others. Using hand drums and percussion instruments, participants will experience the joy of making music together while benefiting from guided rhythmic activities.
The Benefits of Drumming
Drumming is more than just fun—it has been shown to support overall well-being and is recognized as a valuable complement to conventional medical and mental health care. Research has demonstrated that participating in a drumming circle can help.
- Reduce stress and anxiety
- Release emotions
- Improve mood and emotional resilience
- Enhance focus and mental clarity
- Boost the immune system (Studies have been done that show playing drums for one hour a week raises the T-cell levels of the body to fight cancer.)
- Provides pain relief
- Encourage self-expression and creativity
- Promote a sense of connection and belonging
- Support physical coordination and motor skills
- Drumming is also a powerful outlet for emotional release and healing—when words fail, rhythmic beats can communicate emotions such as pain, joy, anger, grief, or peace.
How Rhythm Works
Drumming naturally engages the mind, body, and emotions, promoting relaxation while energizing the spirit. The rhythmic patterns help entrain brainwaves, bringing the mind into a balanced state of focus and calm.
This is more than just drumming—it’s an experience and a journey of self-discovery, creativity, and joyful connection. As you sync with the rhythm, you’ll gain a profound sense of peace, joy, and belonging, both within yourself and as part of the group.
What to Bring
All drums and percussion instruments will be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own if you have one.

Earth Day Celebration
Drumming Meditations for the Earth and Humanity
Facilitated by Dee DiGioia | Mindful Kindful YOUniversity
Gather with us under the open sky, around the warmth of a campfire, as we celebrate Earth Day through rhythm, reflection, and community. Feel the pulse of life as we drum together in harmony with the heartbeat of the Earth. Drumming is one of the oldest forms of meditation known to humanity.
Drumming & Rhythm Exploration
This guided drumming experience invites you to awaken your spirit, explore creative expression, and come into coherence with the natural rhythms of life. No prior drumming experience is needed—everyone is welcome! This is a space for free exploration, without pressure or perfection.
As we co-create rhythms together, we will let the energy flow, allowing the "song" to guide us naturally into meditative stillness. In these sacred moments of silence, we invite reflection, prayer, or quiet communion with nature, carrying the gift of rhythm deep into our hearts.
This circle will have a slightly different progression than our regular "Joyful Rhythms" Drum Circles. Rather than a fully interactive drum circle, this will be a more immersive, participatory sound journey—one that invites us to dive deeply into meditation and inner exploration, with the Earth and nature supporting us.
The Science & Spirit of Rhythm
Scientific research increasingly validates what ancient cultures have long known: drumming, song, and collective rhythm uplift our mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Drumming connects us—to ourselves, to one another, and to the natural world.
Earth Day 2025 Theme: "Our Power, Our Planet"
This year’s global theme calls for unity in the transition to renewable energy, aiming to triple the generation of clean electricity by 2030. We join this movement through the power of rhythm, raising our collective energy in gratitude for the Earth and our shared commitment to a sustainable future.
Come celebrate, connect, and take inspired action through the universal language of rhythm. Let’s drum for the Earth, for healing, and for each other.

Project 2025 has been part of the political scene for years now. It had been developed in think tanks as a blue print for a complete remake of the American Government. Unrecognized by one major candidate and used as a major fear tactic by another in our recent presidential election, the document has now come alive in the early days of the present administration. In his usual irreverent style, Ed Cabrera will update you on how this plan is taking shape. He will review how recent moves reflect the document and discuss the impact of the respective decisions. Possible checks on the moves by other branches of government of the federal government will be identified, when applicable, and suggestions on how you can deal with the changes on a personal level will also be shared.
Mr. Cabrera taught at Atascadero High School and, before that, at Perris High School (in Southern California). He also coached numerous sports and advised even more clubs in his career spanning 4 decades. His previous classes covered a diverse set of topics such as The Electoral College, Hong Kong, 1919 and Immigration. Ed is also our I.T specialist and a member of our board of directors

ABOUT US
Bret and Kimber Black are a ranching family originally from the Central Coast of California. Nine years ago, they made the bold decision to relocate their family and cattle ranch to Texas, where they have continued to pursue their passion for ranching.
Alongside raising their children in the heart of Texas ranch country, Bret and Kimber discovered a love for vintage and antique ranch items—a passion that eventually connected them with Kathy and Susi, the original founders of the esteemed Three Speckled Hens Vintage Market & Antique Show.
In Weatherford, the Blacks immerse their children in the ranching lifestyle, teaching them the values of hard work, resilience, and a deep respect for the land. The family enjoys exploring abandoned properties, clearing the land of remnants from the past, and bringing these forgotten treasures back to life. Kimber, with her love for all things old, carefully curates these items for the market, ensuring that each piece carries with it a story and a piece of history.
Together, Bret and Kimber blend their love for ranching and antiques, creating a life that honors the past and tells a story for future generations, both in their work and in raising their family!
You may find their unique Texas Finds in The Vintage Farm and Ranch booth at one of the events. Alongside a spectacular line up of local vintage and antique dealers.
Thank you for being here!
Sincerely, Kimber & Bret Black

37th Annual AAUW GARDEN TOUR
Sunday, April 27, 2025
1:00 - 5:00 PM
Mark your calendars because the Morro Bay Garden Tour is back! The tour is scheduled for Sunday, April 27th from 1-5pm. There are four gardens featured, and we highly recommend that you visit them all, however; the tour is self-guided and can be enjoyed at the pleasure of your own pace.
We hope you’ll join us!
This is the major fundraiser for the Morro Bay Branch of the American Association of University Women. Proceeds are used for high school scholarships in Morro Bay and to send several 7th grade girls to a TECH summer camp to study the STEM subjects.
THE GARDENS
1. 2224 Coral Avenue (Cloisters) / Morro Bay
From Hwy 1 turn west on San Jacinto, left on Coral
The cozy Cloisters cottage is complemented by a charming garden alive with vibrant colors and inviting walkways. Garden by Gabriel provided the original design layout, and current owners Jeannie Palermo and Terri Cambell have added their own delightful garden art, pretty mosaic pavers, compact veggie beds and riotous splashes of alstroemeria amongst the handsome succulent, aloe specimens and accent rocks. Jeannie has also creatively painted the utility boxes in the front yard to cleverly disguise them as garden art. The backyard patio is a perfect place for relaxation with a garden view.
2. 410 Fairview Avenue / Morro Bay
From Hwy 1 take Morro Bay Blvd, left on Kern, left on Ridgeway, left on Fairview, 2nd house on the right
Spoiler alert! You are entering an artist’s “legacy” garden filled with trees, plants, and art that enkindle memories of the owner and his family. Jeff Carney, whose paintings are often featured at SLOMA and the Morro Bay Art Center, enjoys creating art in his garden as well. His grandfather purchased this lot in MB to graze horses in 1940, and Jeff has turned it into a fanciful hillside landscape. Colorful birdhouses abound, and ordinary objects have been repurposed into whimsical eye-catching art forms. The home's front entrance is a delightful sitting area with a magnificent view of the bay.
3. 1500 13th Street / Los Osos
From South Bay Blvd turn west on Santa Ysabel, left on 13th (garden on left at corner of Paso Robles)
A white picket fence with a vine-covered entrance gate will invite you into Mary Jefferson’s lovely front yard, where an array of succulent’s flourish beneath a magnificent pepper tree. Sage Landscape has rejuvenated the plantings throughout Mary’s property. In her backyard, ferns and other shade-loving pants thrive beneath an arbor and hang from a spectacular strawberry tree. She has repurposed a large birdbath into an eye-catching planter near her charming blue garden shed. There’s so much to see here!
4. 1958 Los Osos Valley Road (D & D Floral Designs) / Los Osos
On LOVR, parking only at Baptist Church at corner of Lariat, no parking on LOVR
Welcome to Debbie Deis’s old-fashioned farm where colorful flowers, fruit trees, vegetable row-crops, critters, lily ponds, garden art and what not galore all thrive harmoniously. Take your time browsing because surprises large and small are to be found everywhere! Greet the bunnies, cluck to the chickens, marvel at the fabulous ceramic art and the fishpond with a waterfall, visit the succulent-filled hothouse and sheltered tropical pants and fern room. Reminisce about bygone days when Aermotor windmills and metal milk cans were everyday essentials. Inhale the amazing fragrances throughout the garden!
Into the Woods is a spellbinding, Tony Award-winning musical that intertwines beloved fairy tales like Cinderella, Jack and the Beanstalk, Rapunzel, and Little Red Riding Hood into a clever and captivating story. The first act explores how all the fairytale characters achieve their wishes, while the second act delves into life after "happily ever after." With Stephen Sondheim’s iconic music and lyrics, this magical journey explores the consequences of wishes and the complexities of "happily ever after." Full of heart, humor, and unforgettable songs, Into the Woods is a must-see theatrical experience for all ages!

Our class participants will take a tour with guide and owner Jeff Dobbs at their ranch where they house hundreds of animals that have been rescued. The extended Dobbs family took over the non-profit, Turtle and Tortoise Rescue, 6 ½ years ago from Bob and Judy Thomas. They extended their rescues to include all kinds of animals (sheep, goats, alpacas, emus, and many different birds).
All of the animals have stories of where and how they have been rescued, whether by private parties or other agencies such as Pacific Wildlife Care, Fish and Game, or Animal Services.
The Dobbs are committed to making our 5-acre rescue a place that is good for animals, good for people, and good for the environment through conservation, sustainability, and education.
They use the ranch for numerous school field trips, with many kids getting community hours to satisfy graduation requirements.
This one hour stroll will take you throughout the ranch. Comfortable shoes, a hat, and sunglasses are suggested. Feel free to bring romaine or zucchini to feed the masses.
Jeff and Dr. Tammy Dobbs have always loved turtles and tortoises and when they rescued a badly-chewed up box turtle from a ranch in Nipomo (now named Jacque), they came to know Bob Thomas and the Turtle & Tortoise Rescue well. When Bob mentioned he was preparing to retire and was considering closing the ranch, Jeff and Tammy stepped in to continue the good work of the rescue.

RENT
Set in the East Village of New York City, Rent is about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, Rent has become a pop cultural phenomenon. with songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages.
Based loosely on Puccini's La Boheme, Jonathan Larson's Rent follows a year in the life of a group of impoverished young artists and musicians struggling to survive and create in New York's Lower East Side, under the shadow of HIV/AIDS. The physical and emotional complications of the disease pervade the lives of Roger, Mimi, Tom and Angel. Maureen deals with her chronic infidelity through performance art; her partner, Joanne, wonders if their relationship is worth the trouble. Benny has sold out his Bohemian ideals in exchange for a hefty income and is on the outs with his former friends. Mark, an aspiring filmmaker, feels like an outsider to life in general. How these young bohemians negotiate their dreams, loves and conflicts provides the narrative thread to this groundbreaking musical.

On occasion we all use swear words to express intensity of emotion or level of conviction. Why do we use them? Why do we call them “swear” words? Why are the swear words we use most often taboo terms referring to faith, sex, and bodily functions? Are swear words historically and culturally-bound?
WARNING: This is a class for people who are comfortable seeing, hearing, and speaking taboos. The mature content of this course may not be suitable for all audiences.

Soothing Sound Journeys
Monthly Wellness Experiences for Navigating Cancer
Free event for cancer patients and survivors
sponsored by Adventist Health- Sierra Vista in SLO
Join us for a deeply relaxing and restorative Sound Journey designed specifically for cancer patients and survivors, facilitated by Dee DiGioia of Mindful Kindful YOUniversity.
Each session—also known as a Sound Bath—offers a gentle, immersive experience featuring a soothing soundscape created by crystal and metal singing bowls, chimes, gongs, and other therapeutic instruments. These calming sounds help ease tension, quiet the mind, and encourage a deep sense of inner peace. Complementary practices such as breathwork and gentle vocal exploration through toning or song may also be included.
The Benefits of Sound Journeys
Sound Journeys are widely recognized as a valuable complement to conventional medical and mental health care. Scientific research has shown that sound immersion experiences can support many dimensions of physical, mental, and emotional health and well-being by:
- Reducing stress and anxiety
- Increasing relaxation
- Providing pain relief
- Supporting immune function
- Lowering blood pressure and calming heart rate
- Improving sleep quality
- Enhancing mood and emotional resilience
- Enhancing body awareness
How Sound Works
Sound frequencies engage the parasympathetic nervous system, promoting deep relaxation and restoring balance to the body and mind. This process, known as brainwave entrainment, occurs when brain waves synchronize with external sound frequencies, guiding the mind into a state of calm and clarity. As tension melts away, energy flows more freely, supporting emotional and physical well-being.
What to Bring for Your Comfort
Wear comfortable clothing for lying on the floor.
- A yoga mat (or something comfortable to lie on)
- A blanket
- A small pillow
An eye cover (if you have one)

Who We Are
The SLO Blues Organization has three (3) main objectives. Our first is to provide first-rate and affordable family entertainment to California’s Central Coast residents. We believe it is our responsibility as a local business to give back to this great community. To this end, we have established Outreach Programs like the Charity Partners Program, the Educational Partner Program, and the Blues Buddies Program. Our second objective is to mentor and advance the professional and physical skills of collegiate ballplayers at the highest level of competition. Local and national Division I baseball players continue their development with Blues while temporarily away from their parent college or university. Our third objective is to continue and expand our internship program which focuses on a learn-by-doing approach. We take great pride in our interns’ involvement in nearly every aspect of operations, and will have more than 30 individuals each season.
California Collegiate League
Founded in 1993, the California Collegiate League is one of the premiere college summer baseball destinations in America. Ten teams are spread across the great state of California. During June and July, top college baseball players compete for the MLB Academy Barons, Arroyo Seco Saints, Conejo Oaks, Orange County Riptide, San Luis Obispo Blues, Santa Barbara Foresters, Menlo Park Legends, San Francisco Seagulls, Sonoma Stompers and Walnut Creek Crawdads.
Our Thanks
The Blues have always depended upon local support for survival. We hope our passion in what we do shows in every pitch and crack of the bat. We are both proud and grateful to be serving the Central Coast. We would like to hear from you. Please send any comments, compliments or suggestions to [email protected]

A Tribute to Arlo & Woody Guthrie Concert
Come celebrate legendary folk singers Woody & Arlo Guthrie on Sunday, June 1 at Cambria Center for the Arts Theatre (CCAT)! We'll cover a wide range of topical ballads and broadsides, from Woody's Dust Bowl Ballads, to Arlo's hits like City of New Orleans.
The performers include local duo Bay Love, Central Coast fave Holly Ann Lewis, Carpinteria's The Dennis & Laura Show, SoCal songsters Kern Richards and Steve Bannon, and several Santa Cruz area musicians: Michael Gaither, Woody Bell and Lola Guthrie.
Woodrow Wilson Guthrie was an American singer-songwriter and composer who was one of the most significant figures in American folk music. "This Land is Your Land" is his best-known work, but Guthrie also wrote hundreds of country, folk, and children's songs. Who We Are
The SLO Blues Organization has three (3) main objectives.

The Laramie Project
June 12, 13, & 14 at 7:00 PM
CongregationHouse Productions is thrilled to present this Second Annual Reader’s Theater presentation of The Laramie Project.
Finding forgiveness, compasion, and hope even in the darkest times. The Laramie Progect is a breathtaking collage that explores the depths to which humanity can sink and the heights of compassion of which we are capable.
THE STORY: In October 1998, Matthew Shepard, a twenty-one-year-old student at the University of Wyoming was kidnapped, severely beaten, and left tied to a fence in the middle of the prairie outside Laramie, Wyoming.
Moisés Kaufman and fellow members of the Tectonic Theater Project made six trips to Laramie over the course of a year and a half, in the aftermath of the beating and during the trial of the two young men accused of killing Shepard. They conducted more than 200 interviews with the people of the town, the breadth of the reactions is fascinating. This production is a deeply moving theatrical experience from those interviews and their own experiences in Laramie.
