Time & Location

May 21, 1-3 p.m. at the Odd Fellows Hall

On occasion we all use swear words to express intensity of emotion or level of conviction. Why do we use them? Why do we call them “swear” words? Why are the swear words we use most often taboo terms referring to faith, sex, and bodily functions? Are swear words historically and culturally-bound?

WARNING: This is a class for people who are comfortable seeing, hearing, and speaking taboos. The mature content of this course may not be suitable for all audiences.

Dick Miller is an academic in recovery who frequently takes and offers LLCC courses.
