Big Rock Balalaikas will entertain you with a cabaret style performance that includes the music of the many countries and cultures of Eastern Europe. They play traditional folk instruments and sing songs that are in enjoyed by people around the world. After the concert there will be folk dancing with live music also provided by BigRock. This is a unique multicultural experience on the central coast from a group that has been performing here for over 24 year. Come and support a great cause.
ABOUT:
Big Rock Balalaikas presents the sound of Russian folk instruments and singing to the Central Coast of California. Directed by Judy Sherman, who brings over 30 years of performance experience to the group, Big Rock Balalaikas consists of Christine Granados, prima domra and vocals, Stephanie Moss, alto domra and vocals, Judy Sherman, prima and alto balalaika and vocals, Carl Moody, bass domra and vocals, Monty Ellman, alto domra and guitar, and Andy King, contrabass balalaika.
