The San Luis Obispo County Jazz Federation is privileged to showcase the 2025 winners of our "Young Jazz" music scholarships on Sunday March 16 at 4pm at Cuesta College (Room 7160 at Music & Fine Arts Bldg) in San Luis Obispo. The student musicians will play individual and group selections, accompanied by Tom Bethke on guitar, Ken Hustad on bass and Darrell Voss on drums. This program, started in 1984, awards scholarships to talented and deserving students from local high schools and colleges in an effort to further musical development and to keep the jazz tradition alive. The scholarships are funded by the Jazz Federation through donations.
The show starts at 4 pm (with doors opening at 3:30). Admission is FREE but on-site donations are encouraged and appreciated. "Tickets" are available at the door or through my805tix.com. See www.slojazz.org or call 805-234-7474 for more information.
