46 West Wineries: Wine Safari Weekend! 
benefiting Conservation Ambassadors / Zoo to You



Drink Wine. Help Animals.  Join the Wineries of the 46 West in raising funds to support Conservation Ambassadors, home of Zoo to You, a Central Coast non-profit organization whose mission is to rescue and rehabilitate displaced wild and exotic animals.

 

Purchase a Safari Passport and explore Paso’s 46 West on Saturday, March 9th & Sunday, March 10th.  In addition to supporting a great organization, your Safari Passport offers a complimentary sampling of 3 selected wines at participating member wineries as well as a chance to win a “Wild Night at the Zoo” experience at Conservation Ambassadors onsite facility, where you’ll spend the night under the stars camping in upscale Safari Tents and getting up-close and personal with some of the residents of Zoo to You with your own private animal encounter.  

 

The highlight of the weekend is Safari Sunday, where Zoo to You’s Animal Ambassadors will be onsite at participating wineries for a fun meet and greet with Passport Holders.  Have you ever sipped Albariño with an Alligator?  Cabernet Sauvignon with a Camel?  This is your chance!

General Terms

There are no dogs allowed during the event on Sunday when Zoo to You animals are present. Please leave your pooches and any other travel animal at home.

Refund Policy

All items are nonrefundable under any circumstances. 

Cancellation Policy

This event is rain or shine.

Item Transfer Policy

You may transfer your ticket to another person within 48 hours of the event. Email volatus@volatus.wine to complete the transfer.

Age Restriction

Tasting tickets are for 21 and over only.

FAQ:

  • What time are the Animal Ambassadors at the wineries on Safari Sunday?
    • Animal Ambassadors are scheduled to be at each participating winery on Sunday, March 10th from 12p-3p.  This will be subject to each individual animal handlers discretion, based on the current mood and temperament of the animal.
  • Is there a list of the Animal Ambassadors at each Winery?
    • There is no posted list of Animals prior to Safari Sunday, as they are determined based on the animals current mood and temperament?  Part of the fun of Safari Sunday is sharing your discoveries with fellow Passport Holders!
  • Can I bring my dog with me?
    • While many of the participating 46 West Wineries are dog friendly, we kindly ask you in the best interest of safety for all to leave them at home or in your vehicle on Safari Sunday.
  • Is this event Kid Friendly?
    • Yes!  This event is fun for the whole family.  We do kindly remind you that Wine Tasting is an adult activity and please ask that you maintain control of your children during your visit.
  • Can I share a Safari Passport with my friend/my partner?
    • A Safari Passport is redeemable at each participating winery for 1 tasting flight of 3 selected wines and is entered into the drawing for the Wild Night at the Zoo, and while technically you COULD share the Passport, why not increase your chances of winning and support a great organization at the same time?!
  • What does the Wild Night at the Zoo consist of?
    • The Wild Night at the Zoo is an overnight experience in a safari camping tent inside of the zoo along with a private animal encounter for 2 guests (an $1100 value).  Winners can coordinate with Conservation Ambassadors to schedule their stay as well as add on to their experience, subject to availability.
