Songwriters at Play SLO Tribute to Chris Stapleton and Brandi Carlile
Songwriters at Play celebrates the music of Chris Stapleton and Brandi Carlile, with a tribute concert on Sat. Aug. 24. Show begins at 7pm, at Humdinger in San Luis Obispo. Tickets are $20 general admission.
Performers include Cambria's own Deborah McHenry, Central Coast favorites Cassi Nicholls, J. Gavin, Gary Garrett, Holly Ann Lewis, and Kelly Moreno, Ventura's Jayden Secor, and L.A.-based artists Jesse Loren Strickman, and Pi Jacobs.
Chris Stapleton and Brandi Carlile are both multi-Grammy winners. Stapleton has co-written six number-one country songs, and is a platinum-selling solo artist. Carlile is also a top-selling artist, whose music spans many genres, including folk rock, alternative country, Americana, and classic rock.
The concert is produced by Songwriters at Play, husband-wife team, Steve Key and Bonnie Nelson-Key. They have hosted open mics at Humdinger, and have scheduled a tribute to John Prine on Sat. Oct. 12 at the SLO venue as well. https://songwritersatplay.com/
