She has been the U.S. Representative for California’s 43rd congressional district since 1991  and is the most senior of the twelve Black women currently serving in Congress.  

Please join us at our annual signature event and fundraiser for the NAACP San Luis Obispo County Branch. 

Our 2021 event theme is “Committed to Social Justice” which supports our mission to fight for equality, equity, and civil rights for all people, regardless of race, color or creed.  All funds raised will support the work of our local branch.

This event will be live-streamed and presented at various locations throughout San Luis Obispo County.  This will expand our visibility for individuals and businesses committed to social justice for all.
