Join us for a Musical Spring. Duo Rhapsody with Brynn Albanese, violin and Ian Scarfe, piano. We will be presenting classical and contemporary works in a lecture recital setting. Albanese & Scarfe have collaborated for years and this will be the first time since the Covid-19 shutdown in 2020. Don't miss this rare opportunity.

The musical selections will feature lyrical classics celebrating the season, including Beethoven's "Spring" Sonata from his collection of Violin Sonatas, and Astor Piazzolla's "Primavera" from his tango suite, The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires.

Amy Beach's "Romance" and Lili Boulanger's "Nocturne" offer two examples of lush, early 20th-Century musical style, highlighting these two important female figures in the musical scene of that era. Popular works from John Williams' Sabrina and other fun, contemporary music will round out the program.

Albanese and Scarfe are both charismatic performers, and will share stories and anecdotes with the audience about the history and context of the music, a behind-the-scenes look at their musical talents, and short listening guides.

Ian Scarfe is from the Bay Area, READ, WATCH and LISTEN: https://www.ianscarfe.com/bio.html
