In support of the San Luis Obispo Master Chorale, this intimate gathering of whiskey (or whisky, in Scotland) connoisseurs will enjoy tastes of a half dozen smooth and uncommon whiskey's from Kentucky, Scotland and Ireland, accompanied by paired appetizers. Hosted by Howard Gee, this is an opportunity to discover some hard to find, very special whiskeys. Howard recently returned from Ireland and will share two bottles not available in the United States: Knappogue Castle 12 year Single Malt, a triple distilled bourbon cask matured and Locke's eight year single malt, with a slightly peaty flavor. From Scotland, on the remote island of Islay, Howard found, and will pour the Bunnahabhaim Toiteach A Dha (Gaelic for "Smokey Two") single malt, famous for its peaty flavor, which is matured in Kentucky oak casks and then finished in Spanish sherry casks. A delightful evening of whiskey tasting, savory paired appetizers and fellowship should be expected.
Single ticket is $100, Couples are $180 total (one ticket), This event is for adults 21 and over only.
