SUNDAY, DECEMBER 9TH: Christmas on the Trail Passports can be purchased ONLY AT Cottonwood Canyon Winery and Koehler Winery WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.
What's Christmas on the Trail?
You'll start your day at the Check In Winery you selected when you reserved your passport. After showing your valid ID, you'll get your passport and special goody bag that has your logo wine glass, a map of the area, and an activity card that lists each winery's Christmas on the Trail wine discount, their Saturday Snack and Sunday Funday activity. This year our gift to you is a handmade soap made with our wine! These specialty bars are being custom made just for us by Foxen Canyon Soap Company and one is included with each passport! Pro tip: the recyclable packaging doubles as a soap dish!
The back of your passport will have a grid with 20 squares that represent the 20 one ounce pours of wine that you can "spend" as you like at the 13 participating wineries on Saturday and Sunday. Foxen Canyon Road is 30 miles long, so we suggest making a weekend of it! See the picture below for the list of local transportation companies or hire UberWine. Important Note: Don't hire an Uber to just drop you off, because they will not come back to get you. Really. They won't. UberWine will stay with you all day and make sure you're safely transported from tasting room to tasting room.
On Saturday, enjoy snacks at each winery like local chocolates, holiday cookies and mini cheese plates. Come back Sunday for live music, food trucks, Library Wine tasting and more! And don't forget that every winery will have a special wine discount just for passport holders! Can we say Christmas shopping? Every tasting room will also be decking the halls in their holiday finery. Even Scrooge would get a kick out the ornaments people make with corks.
Passports Aren't Sold Online Anymore - What Do I Do?
If you've found yourself in this situation, then it must be after 3pm on Friday. You do still have options, though. You can still buy a Christmas on the Trail passport at TWO WINERIES but ONLY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST.
Listing locations from north to south:
Cottonwood Canyon Vineyard & Winery 805.934.8463: Saturday from 10-5pm; Sunday 11-5pm
Koehler Winery 805.693.8394: Saturday & Sunday from 10-5pm
How Much is a Passport?
$45 if you reserve your passport online before December 7th at 3pm.
What Else Should I Know?
If your group is 6 or more people, please call the tasting rooms you plan to visit and make a reservation. Some of us have pretty limited space and if we know to expect you, we'll do all we can to make room. If you can call at least a week before, your chances of getting that thing you asked Santa for are doubled. Also, it's illegal to consume or even have an open container of alcohol that wasn't made by the winery you are currently tasting at. So please don't bring any beer or wine into a tasting room with you. And smoking or vaping isn't allowed at or near any of the tasting rooms. Remember that big fire we had last year? No one really wants to repeat that.
