Event Summary

Join us for a fantastic evening of theater as By the Sea Productions proudly presents:

June 17-July 10 “Social Security” by Andrew Bergman, director Lisa Woske.

This fast-paced, light-hearted comedy reminds us all we’re never too old

to redefine ourselves.  “The play is a sophisticated hoot!” NY Post

Trendy New York art gallery owners Barbara and David Kahn have their lives upended when Barbara’s younger caretaker sister deposits their eccentric elderly mother Sophie on the Kahns' doorstep so Trudy and her husband Martin can deal with their sexually precocious college student daughter. When Sophie meets suave "non-agenarian" artist Maurice, he offers to paint her portrait and begins to brighten her life in ways she never expected in her twilight years. Ultimately, everyone realizes life can get better at any age!
