The SLOFunny Comedy Showcase is a monthly showcase for local SLO County Comedians. Come see how comedy is born. Take a look at the amazing local talent that began right in our back yard. It is not widely known, but San Luis Obispo has been a launching pad for professional comedy for decades.
Everyone knows that Weird Al Yankovic began his career here. He may be the most famous, but he wasn't the first or the last comedy great to emerge from our community. Dave Burleigh and Eric Schwartz both attended Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo. The hilarious Collin Moulton was bourn and raised right here in Morro Bay. Come see the next generation of stand-up comedians get their start right here at home.
On January 29th, SLOFunny Comedy is presenting an amazing showcase of local comedians at Niffy's Merrimaker in Los Osos. Each SLOFunny Comedy Gym will be Hosted and Closed by professional touring comedians, but filled with hilarious SLO County Comedians. Local comedians will have the opportunity to show our community their own brand of funny.



Our first SLOFunny Comedy Gym is Hosted by Steph Clark. Steph is a LA native comedian, actor, and writer. Clarks' comedy style is self deprecating and centers on everyday life with a twist of sarcastic absurdity. She has been featured in Calabasas Lifestyle Magazine, Huffpost, Lady Laughs Comedy Festival in Madison, Bellflower Comedy Festival in Los Angeles, Black Sheep  Alaska Tour, KMA Hawaii Tour, and more.  Clark received a Master's degree in creative writing, which makes her comedy choices on screen and on stage fiercely funny.

This Show will feature between 6 and 10 up and coming local comedians, with sets ranging from 3, 5, 7 and 10 minutes. This a showcase, not an open mic. Each of these local comedians has worked out there material and is ready to showcase for you. Our January 10 Minute Features include: Stormy Silva, David Uhlfelder and Aidan Candelario. Other local comedians include Mat Salud, Trey Charles, Sevastion Scott and Chase Mesa.



Aidan Candelario is a local showrunner and the first local comedian to be selected as part of the SLO Comedy Festival in February. Aidan is proof that hard work and dedication pay off. Don't miss Aidan and the rest of this talented lineup.
