Event Details

Ginger Pauley and Hoosier Daddy

Ginger's performances are true to the spirit of the Jazz Age, with her tune selections, sounds, and arrangements—and most certainly with her style and appearance.

"Ginger re-created the original Helen Kane sound and character for just a couple of songs, “Oh, I’m In Love” and “That’s Why I’m Happy,” before moving on—although fans were left wanting more. Ginger does it so very well, using her professional acting skills to enhance the Betty Boop-like character and delightfully ditsy personality. Though she is a multi-faceted performer who wisely wants to present more than her excellent Helen Kane impersonation, like some others in the audience I found myself thinking, “It’s just so good, maybe just one (or two) more Betty Boop songs!”  - Syncopated Times

Ginger & the Hoosier Daddys is a hot, early jazz to swing band lead by Ginger Pauley. The band has been together and performing since 2009 with jazz standards, Great American Songbook and some rarely heard vocals created just for Ginger & The Hoosier Daddys!

This fabulous band plays all over the United States!

Ginger is also the host and co-producer of Vintage America With Ginger on Amazon Prime and Tubi.

This will be a very special show for the Basin Street Regulars as they’ll be some familiar faces to you all! “Regulars” indeed!

The Hoosier Daddys for June 30th will be:

  • Bob Selvin on piano
  • Michael Velasquez on bass
  • CJ Sams on trumpet
  • John Cheas on sax/clarinet
  • Kevin Wiley on drums
  • Todd Temanson on banjo
And joining us from down under… Paul Ingle on trombone!
This will be a show you cannot miss!

The Decomposing Brass Quintet is comprised of brass players from the Friendly Neighborhood Big Band.

The formation of the group was the brain child of Mitch Latting, David Johns, and Danny Beher. We have been providing audiences with performances of great jazz standards, pop, Broadway, and movie themes. With access to over 500 songs of various composers and arrangers.

The band members have years of experience playing with various groups and are delighted to be affiliated with the DBQ. Some of the groups are: The Friendly Neighborhood Big Band, Starlight Dreamband, Central City Swing, Central Coast Brass, Estero Brass, Trumpet Alliance of Cuesta College, Royal Garden Swing Orchestra of Cuesta College.

Band members, with these groups, have performed at/for: Dana Adobe & Cultural Center, Salvation Army, Branch Street Deli, Arroyo Grande Centennial Celebration, Clark Center Holiday SingAlong, Grand opening of the SLO Train Museum, Rotary Band Stand in Arroyo Grande, Madonna Inn, Filipponi Winery, Nipomo Presbyterian Church, and much, much more.
