About the Dirty Cello:
From Iceland to Italy, and all over the U.S., San Francisco based band Dirty Cello brings the world a high energy and unique spin on blues, rock, and Americana. Led by vivacious cross-over cellist, Rebecca Roudman, Dirty Cello is cello like you’ve never heard before. From down home blues and rock with a wailing cello, to virtuosic stompin’ Americana, Dirty Cello is a band that gets your heart thumping and your toes tapping!
About the Film:
Greta Garbo gives an incendiary performance as the smoldering femme fatale in this romantic, and erotically charged melodrama. Co-starring John Gilbert - known as the ”The Great Lover” in the silent film era who rivaled the other famous leading man of 1920’s, heartthrob Rudolph Valentino, as a box office draw.
Cinematography by Oscar-winning director of photography William Daniels, who was the master of black-and-white cinematography and most famous for the 21 films he shot as Garbo’s personal “lensman.” Directed by Clarence Brown (Garbo’s favorite director).
