Just south of Guadalupe lies an extraordinary and unique nature preserve. Featuring towering 550 foot high dunes-the tallest on the west coast and the Santa Maria River Estuary, not only is this park beautiful but it is also ecologically significant. We will be offering a docent-led hike on June 12 at 9:00 a.m. Come out and enjoy a nice 2-mile hike on the beach towards Mussel Rock with Ray Segovia, our hike leader. This is a strenuous hike 4-mile round trip on sand that offers scenic views. Meet Ray at the Rancho Guadalupe Beach parking lot at 9:00 a.m.
