Sunday Sessions begin with a Jam Session from 11:00 to 12:30. There are usually two sets: 12;50 to 1:45 and 2:00 to 4:00 with a break. We are back in the Pismo Beach Veterans' Memorial Hall. For more information call 805-937-8402.

The BSR has over 200 members and many attend the club's live jazz sessions at the Pismo Beach Veterans' Memorial hall on the last Sunday of the month (holidays excepted). There is an open Jam Session at 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, and guest bands from in two sessions from 12:50 to 4:00 PM. The Jam session is an opportunity for local musicians, including youth, to play together on stage and both teach and learn the ebb and flow of Traditional Jazz music. We host guest Traditional Jazz bands to perform for our members and guests. The bands are often World-Class and come from throughout the state from San Diego to San Francisco.

Food and drinks are served for very reasonable prices during the session to keep the members fortified. Menus are listed monthly in the newsletter. Dancing and carousing are encouraged! You may even see an impromptu New Orleans style parasol parade! Sometimes Jazz paraphernalia is for sale, and sometimes there is a raffle. Admission is only $5 for members of BSR and $10 for non-members. Silver members attend for free. Where else can you get so much live jazz for such a great price!
