"Sylvia" by R.N. Gurney, directed by Jean Miller
Greg and Kate moved to Manhattan after twenty-two years of child-raising in the suburbs. Greg's career as a financial trader is winding down, while Kate's career as a public school English teacher is beginning to offer her more opportunities. Greg brings home a dog that he found in the park, with the name tag "Sylvia" who speaks to him. Greg enjoys the dog's unconditional adoration, but Kate is less than thrilled at the attention Greg devotes to Sylvia, and it becomes a humorous competition for Greg's affections.
